Abortion is a safe and common health care procedure. Most regions of Aotearoa New Zealand offer a local abortion service at a hospital, a community clinic, or some Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa clinics (formerly Family Planning). An early medical abortion (EMA) can be arranged over the phone with some abortion providers.
